About Me

Nasima Aktar Nisha is the Founder and President of Women and e-Commerce (WE) & Managing Director of Reverie Corporation Ltd. A tech enthusiast and having profound business acumen she started her entrepreneurship journey early. She started her entrepreneurship journey under her father’s tutelage. Her father Late Mr. Haji Shahabuddin is renowned for his business ventures and numerous social activities. A firm believer of women’s ability to grow and achieve and a deep understanding of women’s contribution to society she has always worked towards the goal of women’s empowerment. She attended Banani Model School and Adamjee Cantonment Public School & College for her early education and completed BBA from North South University. She also completed her master’s from Southeast University. After completing her master’s she started Reverie Corporation, then known as Lab Mimosa in 2011. And in 2019 she started the movement that is now known as WE. At present she is also serving as the Joint Secretary of e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-Cab). Reverie Corporation started working on mobile applications and mobile games and under her guidance and leadership, created apps such as Unmad, Shohoz, Frappy Bird, Match Maker, Amader Shomoy, Canvas, How to wear a Saree etc. A desire to promote IT growth among the youth of the country she decided to hire fresh graduates for her company towards huge and proven success. She helped Reverie attain even more growth by driving the company towards working on government projects. Despite achieving sound success with Reverie, she was still not satisfied in achieving her goal of working on women’s empowerment. She kept working through years to find a viable solution and develop a sustainable platform. Through many trials and errors and with her knowledge acquired through the years as an entrepreneur and a strong vision for women’s empowerment she started Women and e-Commerce (WE) forum on facebook. Her vision of WE is promoting women’s business, local small business and small scale manufacturers. Also to encourage women to join the commerce age, she organized an year long online course named Entrepreneurship Masterclass series, a landmark and first of it’s kind initiative in the country. The course aligns with UNSDG. People who want to get into business, but who are without much formal training, education or degrees, stand to learn a lot out of these sessions. In Addition “WE” is arranging several workshops, seminars on different topics to develop their business skills. More than 520k people became skilled from last one year through different Training programs provided by WE. She is always trying to make the path easier for the women entrepreneurs. With this thought she took the step to arrange country’s biggest virtual women entrepreneur Summit on e-Commerce in October 2020, where around 50+ speakers participated including global speakers. Who shared their experience and knowledge and discussed how the joint efforts of government, private sector, entrepreneurs, investors, and community at large can foster such cooperation and promote the growth of women entrepreneurs. Through the years Nasima Aktar Nisha has gained numerous awards, recognitions, achieved critical acclaim for her work and love of the people she works with. Some of her notable achievements are Anannya Top Ten Awards 2019 by Anannya - a leading women's Bengali-language magazine since 1993. In addition, she is awarded by Shadhinota Shangshad Award for her outstanding social and economic contribution on year 2020. In addition she achieves JCI Bangladesh women inspirational award and Global Business CSR award on 2021.
